3,611 NBP personnel in Muntinlupa City vaccinated

Ninety-one percent of the 3,961 personnel of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City had been vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Department of Justice (DOJ) Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay-Villar on Sunday, Jan. 9, said a total of 3,611 BuCor personnel had been vaccinated.

Aside from NBP, the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City had vaccinated 138 personnel; Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm (SPPF) in Occidental Mindoro, 213; San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City, 280; Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) in Palawan, 257; Leyte Regional Prison (LRP), 205; and Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF), 528.

The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) earlier said that as of Jan. 4, about 95 percent of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) under its management in seven prison facilities nationwide had been vaccinated.

A total of 25,238 PDLs had been fully vaccinated while 20,817 others had received their first dose, BuCor said.
