Another P600-K smuggled cigarettes seized in Zambo Peninsula

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Security forces have intercepted another shipment of smuggled cigarettes worth PHP590,000, bringing to more than PHP2.4 million the contrabands seized during the past two days in Region 9, authorities said Friday.

Comelec to set up gun ban checkpoints in Zambo City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Commission on Elections (Comelec), together with the security forces, is setting up fixed checkpoints in strategic places at the start of the gun ban here on January 9.

The gun ban is pursuant to Comelec Resolution Numbers 10728 and 10741 promulgated on Nov. 10, 2021 and Dec. 16, 2021, respectively.
